This excellent new model has a stacked G10 main frame construction, and features a full metal head set - as standard! RJX have chosen G10 as their main frame material, as it is more crash resistant than carbon fibre, is less noisy, and is less likely to promote any unwanted "glitches" from the radio system.
Each kit also features an all alloy head, swash plate, double ball-raced alloy mixing levers, etc. These alloy parts are top class, not cast but machined from solid billet to the highest standard.
The model has a rotor diameter of 1339mm, and a target weight of 3.2-3.6 kg, and it is capable of F3C or 3-D style flying when using the recommended OS 50 Hyper engine.
Included with every kit, are all the parts needed to build the helicopter as an eCCPM (electronic Cyclic Collective Pitch Mixing) or MPM (Mechanical Pitch Mixing) giving the builder an option when constructing the kit.
Although most builders will probably go for an OS 50 Hyper engine as the power unit, we also have an optional conversion pack to enable the Hurrican to be converted to electric power for just £31.30. This pack makes the suggested outrunner Hacker electric motor an easy fit, and includes a pinion for the Hacker motor.
We also have the suggested 90 amp speed controller to complete the transformation - but the builder will find it easy to use his own choice of motor and speed controller, if he prefers.
Like the OS 50 Hyper powered version, the electric version delivers blistering performance, and during testing in Spain recently, showed it was capable of achieving good 3D performance, and flight times of up to ten minutes if flown a little less violently! |
