New Lower Wishbone Support Link for MCD

We have now added a lower wishbone support link to fit the front of the rear gearbox case to strengthen and prevent crash damage to this part on your Evo 3 or Ultimate.

When the Evo 3 car was being developed, we asked the factory to make an alloy "keeper Plate" to anchor the lower wishbone pivot shafts together. This flat plate fits across the lower front of the gearbox and prevents the gearbox mounted locating lugs breaking off in use.

This basically stops the lower wishbone pivot shafts "opening out" when the wishbone or front wheels hit something (a regular occurance when driving off-road).

This plate is now included with every new Race Runner Evo 3 and Ultimate - but until now, the complex shape needed to protect the rear gearbox in the same way was never manufactured.

When the gearbox mounting lugs are broken off, a lengthy rebuild of the gearbox often takes too long to fix "trackside", so we have made our own lower wishbone support link to fit the rear gearbox to help stop this problem.

An expensive alternative is to buy alloy gearbox cases - but this just adds too much weight and is not worth the cash. It is also not infallable and it will be possible to break or bend the alloy lugs off in a major crash as well.

This Lower Wishbone Support Link is both cheap and quick to fix to the car, adds almost no weight and does a good job.

Part number KCR119 Lower Wishbone Support Link for Evo 3. Suggested retail price including vat is £9.99.
