Next Rossendale Model Truck Meeting - Saturday 24th July

The next meeting of the Rossendale Model Truck Club will be held next Saturday 24th July in the Longholme Methodist Church Hall - immeadiately behind Rossendale Models shop.

This popular venue will again be the location for the next meeting, and all r/c model truckers are welcome to come.

As previously, the meeting will officially start at 12.00, but anyone travelling to the event can go into the church hall as early as they like and set up their models etc in the ajoining room where we have plenty of tables and chairs available for this purpose.

This will form the "pits" area, and is where the r/c helicopter club members prefer to be until they actually fly in the main hall. This gives a nice club atmosphere, and would probably be a good idea for the truck drivers too - but you can still spread yourselves out around the main hall after 12.00 if you prefer - no problem!

Another bonus to those that arrive early is that the church hold their coffee morning in the main hall until we start to use it, so a welcome slice of toast or cake with a "brew" makes a welcome break before the trucking starts.

This makes it possible to make a full day of it for those that would like longer at the meeting, and since most of the truckers like to chat and talk about their models to each other this extends the time available to do just that, and the pits area is just the place to do it!

The running area in the main hall will be available from around mid-day onwards until we have all had either enough running or want to go home for tea. ( this usually happens about 5.00pm - but it can be later if people want to stay later).

The entrance fee is just £3.00 for anyone that comes, and this helps to pay for the rental of the hall. Please leave your email address when you pay so we can contact you to let you know when the next events are, and to keep you up to date about special offers and new release's.

If you have a part-built project you would like some help with, or would just like to show it off - please bring it with you as this is often just as interesting as the completed models, and we have found most modellers enjoy sharing their knowledge and are happy to help.

New members are welcome - there is no joining fee, and if you are interested in r/c model trucks of any type or scale, you are invited to come along.

Anyone who would like to have a "trade stand" to sell at the show should contact Bob before the show starts to agree a suitable donation to the club funds.
